Cheap sofas don't cost the earth

Almost everyone in their schooldays had to learn a foreign language and the chances are it was French. But how many of you have actually had the opportunity to practise it? You could if you took a holiday in the south of the said country and rented a luxury holiday home for a week or so. There is a beautiful gite available that not only has views of the Black Mountains but also boasts its own heated swimming pool and barbeque area. You'll never have time to get bored as there is canoeing, kayaking and many other activities you can partake in. The country house is tastefully furnished with all the usual facilities and rooms where you can put your feet up and relax - you'll find no Cheap sofas in here! If this doesn't appeal - and you failed your French exam miserably - you could spend your free time redecorating.

If you're on a budget, you can still make great improvements. Head on off to the local charity shops - they sell all manner of things from clothes that people are fed up with - don't for a minute think that they're worn out and no good - up to all items that go to make a house a home. Local auctions are another place where you can purchase furniture (brand new in many cases) at rock bottom prices - if you're lucky enough to bid for and win the item without too much competition. It's all out there - you just need to find it at the cheapest price possible.
